How To Apply
Fees & Scholarships

The fee is 750€ (VAT included). This amount covers tuition, working materials, access to the library and three social events during the Summer School. To confirm their place, all admitted participants must pay their fee in full within the deadline set by the EC office (usually no later than a week from receiving the offer).

If the COVID-19 pandemic makes it impossible to hold the Summer School in Turin, the event will take place entirely online, and fees will decrease to 350€. The difference between the full fee and the reduced fee will be reimbursed to each student. If a confirmed participant cannot travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they will be able to participate online with a reduced fee of 450€. However, this will be only possible in specific and certified circumstances that will be assessed case by case. The difference between the full fee and the reduced fee will be reimbursed to the student accordingly.

A limited number of scholarships is available for current or recently graduated students who are not resident in Italy. The Selection Committee awards two types of scholarships:

‍‍
ZEROTASSE: scholarships covering tuition fees. These scholarships may be applied for by current students (i.e. undergraduates who will not have completed their degree at the time of the Summer School, or applicants who are either studying at the postgraduate level or will be doing so in the 2022-2023 academic year) or by former students that have graduated not earlier than one year prior the beginning of the Summer School and that do not have an independent source of revenue. Applicants must not be resident in Italy.

Those who are awarded a ZEROTASSE scholarship will have their fee entirely reimbursed by 31 October 2022 provided that they have paid their fees in full, have attended a minimum of 85% hours of lectures/seminars, and have achieved at least a “pass” grade in the final assignment.
FREETORINO: scholarships covering tuition fees and half-board accommodation in Turin.

Those who are awarded a FREETORINO scholarship will be lodged in a single or double room (depending on availability) at one of Torino’s student halls from Sunday 26 June 2022 to Sunday 10 July 2022, and one meal per day will be provided.

Those who are awarded a FREETORINO scholarship will have their fee entirely reimbursed by 31 October 2022 provided that they have paid their fees in full, have attended a minimum of 85% hours of lectures/seminars, and have achieved at least a “pass” grade in the final assignment. If these conditions are not met, they will be asked to reimburse the expenses for accommodation and meals by 31 October 2022.
The only accepted means of payment is a direct bank transfer for the entire amount (750€). Bank transfer costs must be covered in full by participants.
